Middle school students participated in STEM camps hosted at SUNY Polytechnic Institute over spring break thanks to a partnership with the Department of Workforce Development. Students received hands-on exposure to a variety of career-focused STEM pathways. One highlight was the “Firestorm” session, where students explored rocketry and aerospace concepts using CAD design tools and learned foundational principles of aeronautics through engaging, project-based activities. In addition, students took part in a financial literacy workshop designed to build essential life skills such as budgeting, saving and understanding personal finance. The camp provided a well-rounded experience that blended engineering, design and real-world financial knowledge to inspire future career exploration.
